Over two days, we bring together leading voices in inclusive design, universal accessibility, and resilient architecture to address one of the discipline’s most fundamental challenges: ensuring that architecture truly serves all people, without exception.

Inclusive Design for Disaster Preparedness and Response: A Global Perspective

Architecture for All UIA-WP

Natural and human-made disasters disproportionately affect people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations. This session examines how inclusive design principles can be embedded into disaster preparedness and emergency response frameworks — drawing on case studies and global expertise.

12:00–13:00

Building Back Better: Towards Inclusive and Resilient Futures

Joint session: Architecture for All UIA-WP · Natural and Human Disasters UIA-WP · Emergency Architects · Earth Architecture Lab · Consulting Engineers Palestina · ARCASIA

Post-disaster and post-conflict reconstruction offers both an obligation and an opportunity: to rebuild not just what was lost, but to create more inclusive, equitable, and resilient environments. This joint session brings together a wide coalition of organizations to address the principles and practice of building back better.

14:00–15:00

Inclusive by Design: Teaching and Learning Through Global Collaboration

Architecture for All UIA-WP

Inclusion must be taught, not assumed. This session explores how architectural schools and educators around the world are embedding universal design at the core of their curricula — and what can be achieved when institutions collaborate across borders to shape a new generation of architects committed to designing for all.

These sessions are open to all congress participants. We invite architects, educators, policymakers, and advocates to engage with these critical questions and help advance a more inclusive vision for the built environment.
